What’s the best comic shop in Toronto? That’s the question that TdotComics is asking you this month, as it launches its The BEST Comic Shop Awards. 13 of the Greater Toronto Area’s comic shops are up for awards in nine BEST categories, including Customer Service, Membership Package/Deals, Toys/Statues and Gadgets, Selection of Back Issues, Selection of Graphic Novels/Trades, Wearable Merchandise, Events, Website, and In Store Atmosphere. Voting is open now, and the winners will be announced at an award ceremony taking place at an as of yet undisclosed location (they haven’t picked one yet…).
The comic shops up for the award are, in alphabetical order, Atomic Age, The Beguiling, BMV Books, Comics & More, Cyber City Comix, Dragon Lady Comics, Hairy Tarantula, Labyrinth Comics & Games, One Million Comix, Paradise Comics, Planet X, Red Nails II, and Silver Snail Comics. You can vote for your favourite of the 13 at www.tdotcomics.ca/thebest and leave your thoughts, and TdotComics has even included a convenient map of the shops in case you want to want to take a look at them before voting (or perhaps go on a comic shop crawl).
